This newsletter features the writing and research of faculty, staff, students, and friends of the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Doctor of Business Administration program. Doctoral Chevrons is published three times a year in February, June, and October.
Call for Student Submissions
We are accepting student submissions for upcoming editions of Doctoral Chevrons. Submissions discussing business research, theory, or applied business practice are welcome. Each piece should be between 500-1500 words and must follow APA guidelines. For consideration, please submit your work to mcollins@smumn.edu.

The Winona Campus library building will be closed Dec. 5 through Jan. 24. Although the building will be closed, library staff will be working in the building and offering online services, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. If you need to pick up physical items, this can be arranged. MCA invites community to virtual concert Dec. 5

Elevator pitch winners announced
This year’s Winona Campus Elevator Pitch competition, hosted by the Kabara Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies, attracted 12 teams, pitching products and services that ranged from eco-friendly programs to patient-centered products.

Students gain valuable experience in communication field
Saint Mary’s had the largest contingent of students of any other college at the recent Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Minnesota Chapter PR Skill Spark event in Minneapolis on Oct. 26. First-Year Experience course gives students new perspective on food and each other
