This newsletter features the writing and research of faculty, staff, students, and friends of the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Doctor of Business Administration program. Doctoral Chevrons is published three times a year in February, June, and October.
Call for Student Submissions
We are accepting student submissions for upcoming editions of Doctoral Chevrons. Submissions discussing business research, theory, or applied business practice are welcome. Each piece should be between 500-1500 words and must follow APA guidelines. For consideration, please submit your work to mcollins@smumn.edu.

Keeping the peace: Doctoral counseling psychology student to build training modules for trauma management on international scale
Karen Spencer M’19 has always been interested in international affairs, having done several study abroad trips during her undergraduate studies. A trip to a Liberian refugee camp in Ghana in 2004, though, helped galvanize her professional passions and her future studies.
Strengthening community
In these times of uncertainty, it’s important to remember that we are “stronger together.” This past week, Saint Mary’s donated mattresses to Catholic Charities and participated in a mini parade with Cotter High School.
