Updates on spring 2021

Many thanks to you for your dedication to our collective health, safety, and well-being. Through careful consideration, analysis of the available data concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, and based on our experience thus far, the university is planning for the continuance of academic operations in spring 2021.

SGPP faculty member receives Brother Julius Winkler award

Each year, the Brother Julius Winkler, FSC Adjunct Faculty Recognition Award to a Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs (SGPP) course contracted faculty member who has sustained excellence in teaching and contributing to Saint Mary’s University by serving as a model of the Lasallian spirit in the classroom. This year’s award goes to Sondra Schroeder-Davis, Ph.D.

Grading option for summer 2020

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Saint Mary’s is delivering all summer 2020 coursework remotely. The pass/no credit option made available for the spring 2020 semester is being extended for the summer 2020 semester for all schools and all programs.

Eden Wales Freedman, Ph.D., named vice provost for Faculties and Academic Affairs

Eden Wales Freedman, Ph.D., will be the next vice provost for Faculties and Academic Affairs, beginning Monday, July 13. Dr. Wales Freedman, a published scholar, comes to us from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she is a tenured associate professor and serves as director of Diversity Studies and chair of the Department of Communication, Literature, and the Arts.
