Summer registration

It’s not too late to register for a summer course. If you’d like to register for a course for summer 2021, which begins Monday, May 3, you are still able to do so in the student portal!

Tuition due dates and statements

Billing information and tuition due dates can be found on the “My Bill” page in the student portal.

You will receive a monthly reminder from Student Central to check the “My Bill” page. We recommend you check the student portal throughout the semester for updates.

Term 1 tuition due date: Courses beginning Monday, May 3, will be due Friday, May 21.

Term 2 tuition due date: Courses beginning Monday, June 28, will be due Wednesday, July 21.

Deferred tuition due date: Tuition will be due Wednesday, Sept. 15, for all students receiving employer tuition reimbursement or military benefits.

The university applies the $10 finance charge balance of the student’s account monthly until the balance is paid in full. Students may pay the balance in full at any time. Accounts are delinquent when the payment terms on a student’s account have not been met. When an account becomes past due, a past due notice will appear on the student’s billing statement.

Notice regarding 2021-22 FAFSA

The 2021-22 FAFSA application is available on the FAFSA website. Please keep in mind this is for the academic year beginning in fall 2021. If you’d like to apply for financial aid for summer 2021, please complete the 2020-21 FAFSA.

Financial aid

Students who have accepted financial aid in their student portal and completed all required documents should begin seeing student loans applied to tuition accounts on Tuesday, May 11.

If you are expecting a financial aid refund, this will be processed within 10 business days after the disbursement date. The “My Bill” page will be updated in the student portal when your aid is applied and when your refund is processed.

If you have not set up direct deposit for a financial aid refund and would like to do so, you can add banking information in the profile section on your student portal.

Should you have questions on financial aid, contact Student Central for assistance.

Bookstore update

Spring term has ended! Don’t get charged for rental books … return them now! Visit the bookstore website to obtain a shipping label.

Looking to get your books for summer? Purchase your course materials online or stop by the store to find them. Financial aid will be available to use for purchases two weeks before the semester begins and the first week of the semester. Returns for full refunds must be made by the end of the first week of classes.

Canvas

This is a reminder that the courses you are enrolled in for the summer 2021 semester and going forward will be accessed through Saint Mary’s new learning management system, Canvas. We know that it is going to require you to adjust to some changes, but we think the system has a lot to offer that will improve your course experience.

If you have any questions or need any support accessing Canvas, please contact the HelpDesk at helpdesk@smumn.edu.

Spring semester grades

Spring semester grades will be posted 14 days after the completion of courses, and 30 days following doctorate courses.
