As members of the Saint Mary’s community, we each play an important role as we plan our return to the university’s various campuses and locations. Each of us is challenged to do our part in keeping ourselves and our community safe and healthy.
Every member of the Saint Mary’s community, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and family, is asked to join in adopting the safety protocols put into place to protect ourselves and others from COVID-19.
Make the commitment
As a member of the Saint Mary’s community, inspired by our Lasallian Catholic heritage and virtues, I pledge to:
- Protect myself and others in a spirit of generosity. I will keep myself and those around me safe from COVID-19 by wearing a mask, conducting a daily self-screening for COVID-19 symptoms, using hand sanitizer, washing my hands frequently, practicing social distancing, and participating in contact tracing programs as necessary.
- Practice kindness and good judgement. I will be respectful of others, especially those at highest risk, by helping to keep my personal space and belongings and shared spaces clean, observing protocols for group gatherings, and offering support to those who may be in need.
- Be an advocate. I will promote best practices set in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by following university protocols, monitoring for symptoms, and making smart choices.
