Students inducted into Psi Chi

Students inducted into Psi Chi

Several Saint Mary’s students were inducted virtually into Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology for psychology students. As stated in its constitution, Psi Chi’s purpose is “to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.” This is the 50th anniversary of Psi Chi at Saint Mary’s University.

Grading option for spring 2020

The spring 2020 academic semester has experienced an appreciable and unforeseen disruption because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Saint Mary’s has now made the decision to offer an expanded pass/no credit option for the spring 2020 semester for all schools and all programs.

Updates from Residence Life

To assist you while you are away, Residence Life will soon start checking residence halls to remove garbage and food, clean refrigerators, and unplug appliances. Also, we know you are eager to retrieve your belongings; although there is not yet a date set, the Residence Life staff is working on a plan.

The university hereby advises student and student acknowledges that by [participating in Activity] during the pandemic, the student may likely be exposed to COVID-19 or other risks that may result in illness, personal injury, or death, and the student understands and chooses to voluntarily [participate in Activity] and accept all risk to health that may result therefrom. Student understands and accepts that University cannot control these risks and may not be able to provide the necessary medical care that the student’s situation may require. Student understands that University is not responsible for any medical or other expenses associated with any property damage or personal injury student may sustain and that University does not maintain any insurance policy pertaining to any potential illness student may develop or other damage student may sustain. As such, student is aware that student should review personal insurance coverage. Student Voluntarily assumes full responsibility for any risks of loss, property of damage or personal injury, including death that may be sustained by student as a result of [participating in activity].
