Senior Danielle Franke was able to uniquely blend her biology and Spanish majors through an eight-week summer internship in Spain last summer. With a new ThermoFischer Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer, Saint Mary’s students are now able to separate, identify, and quantify complex mixtures of chemicals at a whole new level.
“The professor/student interaction in the Science Department at Saint Mary’s helped me discern how I would like to further my education,” Harren said. “The support I received prepared me for graduate school.”
