Below you’ll find Student Senate meeting minutes from the March 24 meeting. Congratulations to Kendall Archer, who was elected Student Senate president for 2020-21!

Budgets will continue to be heard for the remainder of the semester. Nicole Noreen, vice president for Finance, will be in touch with your club representative regarding the date of your budget hearing.

Executive Board elections

We are currently accepting nominations for Student Senate Executive Board. Below you’ll find position descriptions and time commitment specifications.

If you’re interested in running for a Student Senate Executive Board position, email Stephany Beck at sxbeck16@smumn.edu, vice president of Media and Communications, to receive your official electronic petition, which will require 25 email responses. A member of the student body may submit their email no more than once on each petition.

Here is the election timeline:

  • Monday, March 30 – Executive Board petitions available
  • Monday, April 6 – Executive Board petitions due by noon to Stephany Beck
  • Wednesday, April 8 – Executive Board Elections held
